Open Recruitment for YDMS Pep Squad
We are excited to announce open recruitment for the YDMS Pep Squad! The squad will consist of 60 members selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please mark your calendars for the uniform fitting on August 20th at 3:30 PM. Parents must accompany students for the fitting session.
Pep Squad fees amount to $500 and are required to be submitted no later than August 23rd. Payments can be conveniently made through our secure online portal at www.payschoolscentral.com.

UES Guardians: We still have a few spots left for Summer School! Stop by the school office to pick up a Summer School application if your child was in Grades K-4 this school year and you would like them to attend! Summer School is June 3rd- June 14th 7:30-1:30pm

Join us TONIGHT for our Upper Grade Academic Ball! Come dance the night away and celebrate a wonderful year! Dress as fancy or as casual as you like, but make sure you wear your dancing shoes! PTA will sell concessions in the cafeteria, and the DJ will be ready to rock in the auditorium. There will be strobe lighting. Dance is 5:30-7:30pm
Third, fourth, and fifth graders admitted plus one adult. This is NOT a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

TONIGHT 5th graders are set to perform 101 Dalmatians KIDS just for you! Performance will be Thursday, May 9, 6:30 PM at the Captain Shreve HS Auditorium. Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends are all welcome to attend! Woof!

UES Guardians- we sheltered in place this morning due to the tornado warning. The warning was lifted at 10am. We will continue to monitor the weather.

SCHOOLS CLOSED: Due to widespread power outages and impacted roadways, all Caddo schools and sites will be closed on Monday, April 29. CPSB is working with our utility partners to develop a plan for reopening schools.

University guardians: please encourage your child to look through our lost and found. In addition you may come to the school to look too! End of the year is quickly approaching. All items left at the end of the school year will be donated
Leap testing for our 3rd and 5th graders starts tomorrow! Make sure your student gets a goods night rest, eats breakfast, and has a smooth morning routine! Reminder students cannot bring any electronic devices such as phones, smart watches, or computers. We ask for no check out for students who are LEAP testing

We have loved having parents on campus this year for lunches. The last day for parents/guardians to visit during lunch is Friday April 12th.
